  • The Autobiography of FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper: My Life, My Tapes, by Scott Frost
Former Eagle Scout and lifetime audio freak Dale Cooper brings us his autobiography, culled from his private collection of personal tape recordings beginning with his thirteenth birthday. Discover the secrets, never before seen on television, of Twin Peaks' most-wanted man, who scored a perfect 100 on his marksmanship test and once let a gentle, beautiful woman lead him astray.

  • Twin Peaks: Behind-The-Scenes, by Mark Altman

  • Welcome to Twin Peaks : A Complete Guide to Who's Who and What's What, by Scott Knickelbine
This entertaining, fact-filled text gives you a complete first-season episode guide along with illuminating descriptions of the characters. Dozens of photographs, a behind-the-scenes look at the creators and cast of the series, and critical interpretations that will contribute to your enjoyment of the show are included. This book was not licensed by Lynch/Frost Productions, however, and was pulled from publication due to legal reasons (you can still find it on Ebay. .. )

  • The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, by Jennifer Lynch
Written by David's daughter, the diary begins on Laura Palmer's 12th birthday and documents most of the important events in her short life, up to a few days before her murder and the disappearance of this diary. It's racy and captivating, as Laura reveals everything in her diary--the mysterious "BOB" who visits her at night and who she can never get away from; her awful drug habit; her sexual experimentation; her close friendships with Bobby and Donna; her struggle to find help and redemption from God; pages ripped out of her diary by someone, and then death just days later, when she's just 18. This is the diary of a troubled and tumultuous life cut short by tragic circumstances.

  • There are also a variety of books written about David Lynch and his work. One I read and recommend is Lynch on Lynch, by David Lynch, because its basically just a really long interview.

    MISCELLANEOUS/COLLECTOR'S STUFF:

There is so much Twin Peaks stuff out there for the serious collector. Here is a small sample of it. By far the coolest things are:
    • Star Pic Star Cards: Twin Peaks Collectible cards. These were released in 1991 and are like trading cards featuring all of the characters and others. They have small descriptions, pictures, and birthdates on each one. These packs were released with autographed cards stuck inside, so if you buy a pack, you may get an autograph!
    • Twin Peaks: The Board Game. This was only released in Britain, and it is indeed a board game of the town, and you play your way through it. This is really rare; if you find one, expect to pay around $75 to $100.
    • Then there is the usual stuff:
      • Twin Peaks Calendars 1991, 1992
      • Posters: FWWM movie poster and the FWWM video one-sheet, plus the movie posters from Italy, Germany, France, and sometimes Japan
      • Twin Peaks T-Shirts (several kinds: the Sheriff's station, BOB, the petroglyph, the Log Lady, Twin Peaks High School, coffee and donuts, etc)

  •
